Studio Sale
The studio sale took place on Sunday afternoon. Emma Willard students, faculty, and staff offered fabulous gifts for the holidays, including ceramics from the Empty Bowls service team; coffee, knitted items, chocolates, and jewelry from the Fair Trade service team; candles from the EW Dance Company; and numerous handcrafted items from faculty and staff.

Winter Party
Inclement weather does not stop Emma Girls from having fun and making good use of their time. On Friday evening, students participated in a winter party in Kellas Garden, where they enjoyed campfires, marshmallow roasting, and hot cocoa.

Parents and teachers volunteered their time and efforts on Saturday to teach students the art of making simple, inexpensive gifts. On Wednesday, December 10, the annual Hanukkah dinner was served in the Emma Willard dining hall. An overnight ice storm has wreaked havoc on the Northeast, downing power lines and trees. Head of School Trudy Hall canceled classes for the day, and efforts are being made to reschedule activities. Last weekend Emma Willard alumnae came together for gatherings in New York City, Wellesley, and Boston.
