The Science Olympiad team with their spirit award.
The new Science Olympiad team of Emma Willard attended their first tournament at the College of St.Rose in Albany. This club was started for the first time at Emma this year to gather students who enjoy science. The students performed amazingly at their first Science Olympiad regional meet and placed in three different events and also won an award. Nicha and Karmela impresssively placed 4th in the astronomy section and 3rd in the physics lab event. Nai Wen, Yating, and Beatrice placed 3rd in the “Picture This” event. The students had a great time using their scientific knowledge outside of school, and their enthusiasm won them the spirit award. This was a very successful beginning to a new and exciting club at Emma Willard.
