Mentor Patricia Kernan '75, science illustrator and curator at the NYS Museum Research Labs, with students.
Several Emma students invited their science and art mentors from RPI and the New York State Museum onto the Emma Willard campus on Tuesday. The previous day, the mentored students gave a presentation to the student body at Morning Reports about the science practicum they have experienced. Some Emma girls worked with restoring an art exhibit or worked with things at the cellular level just to name a few. On Tuesday, the mentors enjoyed a tour of the school and had lunch with the students and a few teachers. Hopefully, this practicum will continue to expand with a new group of interested science students next year and for many years to come.
