2012 Parent Days a Success, Students Enjoy Long Weekend!
This past Friday, October the twelfth was the start of the annual parent days at Emma Willard. On Friday, parents of many students ate meals and came to classes with their daughters. Parents and students alike were also entertained by the jester’s pep rally. During the event, the teams were introduced, a video clip was played, captains led a zumba dance to waka waka (see video), and there was even a balloon drop at the end! After such an exciting day on Friday, many students left campus for home or to visit popular destinations such as New York City. Some however stayed on campus as teachers held ten minute conferences with parents all day Saturday. By the end of the day Saturday however, parents and students alike were ready to enjoy some well-earned vacation. Overall, the event was a huge success and students were very excited to enjoy their long weekend!
