February 19th: Popular slam poet, Taylor Mali, recently paid a visit to our campus! Mr. Mali’s creative skills have been showcased on numerous television venues, and we were excited to welcome him to Emma. All of the Emma girls were entertained by his quick wit and great sense of humor, but it was his charismatic passion for his career that really impressed us all. Mr. Mali shared with us his own personal vision of what it means to be a poet, while reciting many of the published poems that have transformed him into the entertaining, dynamic poet that he is.
