So you think you know your faculty

This morning’s assembly used a game show format to test how well the students know their teachers. Questions covered topics such as childhood pets, college majors, sports, juggling talent, and Revels parts. Students had fun matching up the answers with faculty members.

Natalie ’11 and Sophia ’11, next year’s co-heads of the Student Organization for Animal Respect, present a check for $1,323 to Deidre Bruce, volunteer coordinator for The Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society. These are the funds raised at the spaghetti dinner on May 22.

Phila gives back

Phila is a philanthropy practicum of 12 students that work to help non-profit organizations both locally and internationally. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous alumna and her husband, Phila begins each year with $4,000 to give away. They accept grant applications and take the time to make thoughtful decisions.

Champs again

The Mock Trial team was at the county courthouse this morning to accept their first-place trophies; they won first place last year as well. After beating rival Hoosick Falls High School for the number one spot in Rensselaer County, the team moves on to regional competition Saturday, May 9.
